On the Runway

The grid system is an aid, not a guarantee. It permits a number of possible uses and each designer can look for a solution appropiate to his personal style. But one must learn how to use the grid; it is an art that requires practice.

Grid structure lies at the heart of both weaving and modern life.

On the loom, perpendicular threads create the foundation for every design. In our lives, grids power our daily activities. Whether you are navigating the streets of your city, flipping on a light switch, or using a device to read this post, you are relying on a grid.

Influenced by this ubiquitous geometry, our Runway pattern is a thoughtful juxtaposition of blocks.

These pieces feature generous white space so the design has room to breathe. A Runway rug adds pattern and texture without competing against your other design elements.

This design represents our new direction. Art has to appreciate the past, but must also embrace the present and look boldly to the future.

Decidedly modern, Runway embraces minimalism without sacrificing style.
