Custom Process
At Auda Sinda, we have years of experience working directly with designers and homeowners on custom projects. Often starting with a favorite pattern, we develop new color options and offer design recommendations to create the perfect rug. We can also develop custom patterns and more complex solutions, for example weaving L shapes for stair landings and seaming on borders with mitered corners. How to Order Your Custom Rug
1 SAMPLES
We send a sample collection curated for your particular project. When you are finished borrowing the samples, Auda Sinda will cover the cost of returning them.
2 COLOR
We can reference any fabrics, yarns or paint chips to coordinate with your color theme and space.
3 CUSTOM SAMPLE & RENDERING
Your custom strike-off includes two to four options created in-house by our team of artisan weavers. Strike-offs cost $150 and are shipped to you free of charge. Seamed strike-offs or border options are also available. A digital rendering of your rug shown to-scale is available upon request.
4 APPROVAL
Choose your approved design and confirm the details of your order for a formal estimate. Your rug may be any length. Widths beyond 12 foot can be accommodated. Certain patterns require a seam: we’ll advise you on what to expect and where to place the seam in your room.
5 BACKING
Each rug is woven with New Zealand wool for durability and a softer feel. Once off the loom, your rug is finished with carpet adhesive and natural jute for extra rigidity, thickness, and weight. Non-skid backing is also available.
6 DEPOSIT
A 50% deposit is required to begin production of your custom rug. Please note we are not always able to make changes after production has begun. Custom projects are not available for cancellation.
7 DELIVERY
We can deliver rugs to any domestic destination and many international destinations. In-house production ensures that we make your deadline with no headaches. Relationships with reliable carriers ensures your rug is delivered safely and on time.
